Bothered By Wrinkles? Use Skin Rejuvenation To Get Rid Of Them

Posted on

If you have wrinkles and they are bothering you, there are many treatment options to help remove them. One of these treatment options is skin rejuvenation. Below is more information about this so you can decide what would work best for your wrinkles.

Skin Rejuvenation

There are different types of skin rejuvenation you can choose to help you with wrinkles, including:

Skin Resurfacing

Skin resurfacing works well to remove wrinkles around your mouth, under your eyes, or on your forehead. Two different types of lasers can be used for this treatment. One is an ablative laser, which removes the outer layer of your skin. A laser is directed at the wrinkled area to stimulate collagen growth to improve wrinkles. The new skin that grows after the procedure is smoother and tighter. An ablative laser causes your skin to become very red and tender, and it will take a couple of weeks for you to heal.

There are also non-ablative lasers that can be used. This is not as invasive when compared to an ablative laser. This will make your wrinkles diminish but not completely remove them. This will work well if you only have faint wrinkles. You will not have red and tender skin after this, as well.

Chemical Peel

With a chemical peel, a solution is applied to the wrinkled area that then causes the layer of your skin to peel. Once the peeling happens, you will have younger-looking and smoother skin.

There are different types of chemical peels. One is a light peel that uses only a mild chemical solution. This causes only the outer layer of your skin to peel. There are also deep peels, which remove more than one layer of your skin. This can be painful, so you may be put under anesthesia during the treatment. You will have red and tender skin that will take a couple of weeks to heel. A deeper peel does remove wrinkles much more effectively, however.

Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion can be used to remove wrinkles on the face, as well as the body, hands, or neck. Abrasive particles are used to exfoliate the wrinkled area. The loose skin is then removed using a special vacuum. This works well if you only have fine lines and wrinkles. It may not completely remove them, but it will make them much less noticeable. If you have age spots or acne scars, this treatment can help with these also.

Microdermabrasion is not painful and can be done in one visit. You may need to go back a few more times to achieve the best results, however. Your skin may look red, but this will quickly go away and you will see results quickly.
